Dyslexia & ADHD Combined Assessments for 18+.
Are you finding it hard to concentrate, stay organised, or keep up with written tasks at university or work? A combined assessment for dyslexia and ADHD can help explain your challenges and unlock the right support, without needing a medical referral.
This is an educational diagnosis only, carried out in line with the guidelines set by the Specific Learning Difficulties Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).
It cannot be used to access medication or clinical services. If you wish to pursue a medical ADHD diagnosis, please speak to your GP.
We only offer ADHD screening alongside a full diagnostic dyslexia assessment.
Could it be more than dyslexia?
If you’ve always found reading, writing, or spelling difficult and also struggle to stay focused, meet deadlines, or stay organised, it might not just be dyslexia.
Many adults discover ADHD traits later in life, especially when they're also navigating challenges linked to dyslexia. A combined assessment helps you explore the full picture—and unlock the right kind of support for you
Dyslexia and ADHD – What’s the Link?
Dyslexia and ADHD are distinct neurodevelopmental differences, but they frequently co-occur. While dyslexia primarily affects how a person processes language, including reading, spelling, and working memory, ADHD can influence attention, focus, impulsivity, and emotional regulation.
When both are present, they can significantly impact the ability to study, organise thoughts, retain information, and manage time effectively.
You may recognise yourself in statements such as:
“I lose focus halfway through reading.”
“I struggle to get started—even when I know what I need to do.”
“I know what I want to say, but I can’t get it down in writing.”
If so, you’re not alone—and gaining a deeper understanding of how your brain works is the first step towards finding meaningful, effective support.
