About Amanda
Amanda first trained in Medical Biochemistry, building a strong foundation in scientific thinking and evidence-based practice. She later studied Law, where she developed further analytical and problem-solving skills.
Her interest in dyslexia began after hearing a neuroscientist speak about the brain’s ability to rewire itself to process language for reading and spelling. That moment sparked a deep curiosity about how targeted teaching can change the way children learn.
Since then, Amanda has spent many years working in language processing remediation and literacy intervention, supporting learners with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
Her teaching is grounded in neuroscience but always centred on the child in front of her — helping learners develop the core language skills that unlock reading, spelling, and confidence.
When she’s not teaching, Amanda enjoys reading about neuroscience and holistic health, baking, and spending time outdoors walking or running. She values time with family and friends and is always happy to unwind with a good mystery series.
