Educational Assessments
For children and adults, starting as early as age 5.
Spot the Signs, Support the Struggles, Strengthen the Skills.
At Bourne Dyslexia, our Educational Assessments offer a clear and supportive evaluation of literacy skills. We look at the key areas linked to dyslexia, identifying both strengths and challenges, so that practical recommendations can be made to support each individual’s learning needs.
Unlike a full diagnostic assessment, an Educational Assessment will not provide a formal diagnosis. Instead, it gives a profile of strengths and weaknesses that can be shared with schools, colleges, or workplaces to guide the right support. These assessments are particularly useful for children under the age of 8, who may be too young for an official diagnosis but would benefit from early insights into areas where they might need help in the future.
Following the assessment, you will receive a clear, written report highlighting strengths, areas of difficulty, and practical recommendations. This process is less extensive than a diagnostic assessment and usually takes around 1–2 hours.
Whether you’re supporting your child at the beginning of their learning journey, or you’re an adult looking for greater clarity and guidance, this early intervention approach ensures that the right support can be put in place—helping build confidence and making the path ahead feel more manageable.
Set the foundation for success.
