It starts with belief.

At Bourne Dyslexia, we don’t just tutor. We see the child behind the challenge. Our specialist sessions are rooted in connection, creativity, and the science of how dyslexic minds learn best. Every journey starts with belief - in their strengths, in their story, and in what’s possible when the right support is in place.

Let’s redefine what learning looks like together.

Ready, Steady, Shine

Step 1:
Connect

STEP 1

Connect with a Tutor

This is for your child. The connection they have with their tutor is everything, which is why we’re all about making the perfect match. Our tutors get the unique challenges of dyslexia, but they see beyond it. They make learning fun, inviting, and empowering - all while helping your child thrive.

Step 2:
Profile

STEP 2

Learning Profile

If your child has already completed a recent diagnostic assessment with us, that’s a great start! If not, a Learning Profile is conducted on the initial session. This creates a personalised report that highlights where your child shines and where they need more support. From there, we’ll put together a Personalised Learning Plan (PLP) that targets those areas and sets them up for success.

Step 3:
Sessions

STEP 3

20-Week Blocks

The fun begins! With weekly 1-hour sessions, we use a multi-sensory, structured, and cumulative approach to make learning effective. Sessions are overseen by a dyslexia specialist to maintain the highest standards. Your child will also develop metacognitive skills to enhance their learning. After each session, you'll receive feedback, including photos and progress updates.

Step 4:
Evaluate

STEP 4

Review and Celebrate Progress

After 20 hours of sessions, we’ll take a step back, revisit the Learning Profile, and see how far your child has come. We’ll share feedback, celebrate the wins, and keep pushing forward, making sure they’re on track to reach their full potential.

Our Tutors

All tutors are self-employed and contracted by Bourne Dyslexia. The total amounts are indicated on their profiles.

Please note that some tutors may charge for their travel time and other expenses. Please discuss this directly with the tutor.

Is there a Registration Fee?

No there is no registration fee. Our tutors will offer a free telephone consultation to ensure you and your child are happy before progressing.

How often do I pay?

To make payments easier and more predictable, we offer blocks of four lessons that can be paid for upfront. Here’s how it works:

  1. Pay for four lessons in advance (£220 for 4 × £55).

  2. This payment becomes credit on your account, which will be deducted as lessons are delivered.

  3. Once your credit is used up, we’ll remind you to top up for the next block of lessons.

What about cancellations?

We kindly ask that you provide four weeks’ notice before cancelling. We understand that sickness and illnesses happen, therefore you can either reschedule
