80% of children leave school undiagnosed.
I was one of them.
That’s why Bourne Dyslexia exists. Not just to assess, but to be a powerful starting point for those who think differently. We’re here to change the story around dyslexia, from missed potential to empowered futures. Every assessment is the beginning of something bigger: clarity, confidence, and connection.
We are unapologetically Born to Redefine.
Clare Green, Founder
About Bourne Dyslexia
Bourne Dyslexia was founded by Clare Green — a teacher, assessor, and advocate who knows first-hand what it means to grow up undiagnosed. We exist because too many bright, creative minds are being overlooked, misunderstood, or left behind.
We believe assessment should be more than a label, it should be a moment of recognition, relief, and renewed possibility. Whether you're a parent searching for answers or an adult reconnecting with your own learning story, we’re here to walk with you.
Our services are clear, warm, and grounded in expertise. Every report is written to the highest professional standards, but we speak human — not jargon.
Bourne Dyslexia is about more than diagnosis. It’s about changing the narrative.
Our Values
💥 Empowerment
We help individuals see their strengths, not just their struggles.
🙌 Unapologetic
We celebrate neurodiversity boldly — without shame, without shrinking.
🌱 Community
We grow through connection. No one should navigate dyslexia alone.
At Bourne Dyslexia, we know that a diagnosis is just the beginning — not the end. These values guide everything we do, from the way we speak to families to the way we write our reports.
We believe in empowering people to understand how they learn and what they need to thrive. We are unapologetic about challenging outdated systems that miss or misunderstand neurodivergent minds. We believe in the power of community to shift culture — and we know that clarity is what builds trust.
Meet the Team
At Bourne Dyslexia, we work with a small, trusted team of specialists who share our passion for clarity, integrity, and empowering neurodivergent minds. Meet Clare Green
Founder | Specialist Assessor | Advocate for Neurodivergent Minds
Clare is the founder of Bourne Dyslexia — a service built on lived experience, professional expertise, and a passion for redefining how dyslexia is seen and supported. A qualified teacher, assessor, and unapologetic advocate, Clare brings heart, clarity, and purpose to every part of her work.
Having left school undiagnosed, Clare knows first-hand how it feels to be misunderstood in the classroom. That experience shaped her mission: to create a service that not only assesses, but uplifts — helping children, families, and adults see their strengths, understand their profile, and access the support they deserve.
Clare holds an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) and is a professional member of PATOSS, the British Dyslexia Association, and Dittas Mastermind Membership for ongoing CPD. Her reports follow SASC guidelines, and her approach is always clear, compassionate, and tailored to each individual.
Alongside assessments, Clare is also an active speaker, consultant, and community-builder — committed to challenging outdated narratives and creating spaces where neurodivergent minds feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
Born to Redefine. That’s not just her tagline — it’s her truth.
